With the amount of people that drink coffee each day, many wonder about the health benefits of coffee.  While coffee has been around for thousands of years, throughout the ages, coffee was seen as poisonous or a miracle cure for many ailments.  Here are some tips on identifying the health benefits of coffee.

While most people love coffee in their daily life, they are usually concerned if drinking too much coffee can affect their health.  Coffee contains caffeine, which is primarily the number one reason why people drink it daily.  Caffeine can be a mild addictive stimulant and if you drink more than a few cups of coffee per day, you can do possible harm.  Caffeine being a mild stimulant can increase blood pressure and heart rate, if you have had problems in the past with these ailments, you should consult with a doctor regarding your coffee consumption.

For normal healthy individuals, there are a host of health benefits of coffee. Moderate consumption of coffee which is usually states as two to three 16 oz cups of coffee per day can help fatigue, increase mental faculties, reduce the risk of colon cancer, Parkinson’s disease and reduce the risk for type 2 diabetes.

While there are many health benefits of coffee, it is always better to limit your coffee consumption.  You can do more harm than good if you drink too many cups of coffee per day.  If you have any questions regarding the health benefits of coffee, it is advisable that you consult with your physician.
