The term homeopathy owes its etymology from the Greek words that mean “suffering” and then “similar”. In the world of homeopathy, the remedies are done by treating the ailment or disease with the ingredient or substance which has actually caused it. Let us put it this way, someone who suffers from allergens is given a miniscule amount of the same allergen for the purpose of immunizing him to it. Therefore, he will not have the same violent reaction in the event that he once again gets exposed to the allergen. The theory behind the homeopathy remedies is that these active substances motivate the human body’s resistance to fight off these immune system invaders.

There are several homeopathy remedies for various diseases and illnesses. Asthma is only among the several lineups of conditions which can be covered by homeopathy remedies. Better know about it as it might help you in a lot of ways.

Among ten people, at least six of them are afflicted with asthma. Such is the case in several countries. In Latin, asthma is meant to refer to the process of breathing hard. As defined within the premises of medical concern, asthma is a type of chronic lung disease which is described by the spasm and inflammation of the bronchial airways or tubes. The bronchial tubes are those which act as the passageway of air in and out of one’s lungs. In the case of asthmatic persons, their lungs get extra sensitive and generate too much reaction with irritants as compared to the individuals who do not suffer the ailment.

Those who are quite familiar with the homeopathy treatment are likely to wonder if there is a homeopathy remedy for asthma. There are a number of homeopathy remedy alternatives for this kind of ailment. The medicines alone are unable to guarantee the everlasting cure for asthma but then homeopathy remedies could do great deals. Homeopathy remedies for asthma vary depending on its severity level. The use of homeopathy remedies actually reduces and eliminates the necessity to take in the inhalers and synthetic drugs for asthma. Typically, the patient will be advised to take natural herbs and to do away with the foods and other practices that may trigger the asthma attack.

As an integral part of the holistic approach adopted by homeopathy, the remedies for the ailment include the use of herbals and other natural medicines which do not in any way produce side effects that may harm the overall lifestyle of the asthma sufferer. In light of the homeopathy asthma natural medicines, other homeopathy remedies include the following:

Keep the bed and beddings clean at all times. The blankets and pillowcases should be washed with hot water.

Keep the pets out of the room.

Quit smoking or never go near someone who’s smoking.

Maintain proper lighting and ventilation.

Keep the windows shut especially if the air outside is filled with exhausts from the factories and cars.

Be sure to air out the house. Vacuum, sweep, eliminate insects, and many others.

Make use of a scarf or a mask when dealing with dust.

Regularly engage in bodily exercises like Pilates, Yoga, or the Royal Court.

Keeping these things in mind alongside with the realization that homeopathy remedies for asthma is indeed available as always will help you attain a more peaceful and healthy lifestyle.

Cat allergies are common. They come around as the reaction to the cat allergen that is known as Fel d 1. It is normally found in the cat’s saliva, the fur, dander from the sebaceous glands in the skin, as well as in the anal sebaceous glands. The other allergens along with the cat’s albumin can also be found in the blood and urine.

The allergy to cats is definitely common. At least 25% of the population is suffering from this kind of allergy. In fact, this type is more common than the dog allergy. It is obvious that cats can’t be generally bathed so this likely heightens the potential of the risks.

The Problem behind the Allergy to Cats

The cat allergen is largely produced because of the usually non-neutered male cats. The allergens are basically controlled by their hormones. The dander is by and large airborne, commonly found in public areas, and is sticky. They can be present in these areas even in the absence of the cats.

The reason behind is that these allergens obviously stick to the clothes of those cat pet owners and then they get shed in the public facilities and places.

The cat dander particles are relatively too small in size. When it is present, the person gets to inhale it into the deepest parts of the lungs so that provokes the allergic reaction. Allergic asthma is commonly triggered by the cat dander. Thus, those who have cats at home but are allergic to them have higher risks of developing the asthma symptoms.

Controlling the Symptoms for Your Sake

The most possible therapy for those who have cat allergies is that of avoiding any contact with cats. There are several allergy medications which you may take provided that they have been prescribed by your doctor but then again it will help if you adhere to some other precautionary measures.

Below are other tips on how you can control the symptoms and reduce the chances of getting exposed to the cat allergens.

Be sure to have the cat neutered.

If possible, bathe your cat once or twice within the week. It will also help control the symptoms if you wipe the cat with a wet cloth everyday.

Take away the cat from the bedroom. Keep the bedroom doors and the air vents closed at all times.

Station the cat in the garage or in any other part which doesn’t have carpets on the floor.

Buy a HEPA equipped vacuum cleaner and frequently vacuum the sofas, doorstep rags, and carpets.

If your budget allows it, better buy the HEPA room air cleaner.

Research about the dust mite avoidance tips and follow them.

Vacuum the hard floors, clean all curtains and bedding, and steam clean the carpets and other upholstered furniture sets.

Change the heater vent and air conditioner filters from time to time.

For desperate measures, get rid of your pet cats especially when the allergic reactions persist and turn uncontrollable.

Take note that the cat dander normally persists in a range of months up to years. Even when the cat has long been gone, the effect remains unchanged. Thus, it will be wise to keep up with these precautionary measures to protect your health as well as your family’s. So, say no to cat allergies!

How are food allergies treated? Read on and let your mind be stuffed with this new knowledge.

The Necessity of the Treatment

The allergic reactions to food need to be treated in several directions via the same time. The procedure takes on the actions like that of eliminating the allergen, modifying the immune response of the patient, and that of handling the patient’s nutritional status. It is not only the doctor who has the responsibility on this matter. As a sufferer, you must get yourself involved too!

What must you do then? It is vital that you observe your own allergic reaction. How often does it come? When does it go away? What triggers it? As soon as you begin feeling and seeing the signs and symptoms, you must review those things that you have eaten, touched, and the likes. Take note that the reactions can be quite complicated. There are cases when the allergic reaction can be fatal. Thus, it follows that you seek medical attention at once.

You know your own body more than anyone else in the world. For you to be in the most perfect shape, you have to deal with the responsibility. That means that you must watch out for the triggering allergens. Be well abreast of the causes and the treatment that you need. So much more, it is essential that you exercise self control and avoid those things that may cause your immune system to react to a naturally harmless substance.

A Review of the Treatments

As a basic thing, getting on with a special diet counts a lot as a treatment to food allergy. If the patient is discovered to be allergic to at least one or two types of food, then the best way to handle it is by getting rid of those offending foods. This is true with the children who happen to be inflicted with the so called peanut anaphylaxis.

For those who suffer from multiple food allergies, the process of rotation is applied. It means that the offending food needs to be taken at intervals and that means to eat it about four up to five days or even longer. The usual case is that suffering from multiple allergies means that you have the same overt allergies to other types of food which are basically thought of to be safe. By eating them in rotation, you will be able to lessen your own exposure and the effects as well and it can help build your tolerance for them.

Supplements and medications are also used to address the problem with the allergy signs and symptoms. They are able to provide the relief that the patients really crave for. The drugs typically repel the production and release of the histamine and other related chemicals. However, it must be done prior to the exposure to the allergens.

The digestive enzymes also have their own roles to take since they chunk down the food into smaller particles so they tend to become lesser allergenic.

Vitamin C is also eyed as an anti-allergy kind of supplement. It aids in the stabilization of the mast cells so they don’t get to release the histamine and other chemicals.

Food allergies have to be treated at a medical perspective. It is only appropriate to get to know these remedies before it gets too late.

From time to time, a persisting belief about allergies crop out and people somehow buy it. They buy it some more until it becomes an established partial truth. Here are some common beliefs about allergies that you should be on guard.

It’s not allergy, its hypersensitivity
Hypersensitivity or irritation may not be the same as allergy. But then again, it is a symptom. If hypersensitivity to a certain allergen occurs more than once it probably is an allergy, so get checked.

Children tend to outgrow their allergies
A small portion of children with allergies actually outgrow their bodies’ exaggerated reactions to allergens. However, this is not true for all children. Most of them do not grow out of their allergies, in fact for most cases, allergies do not only persist they worsen.

Milk allergy is an adult thing…and so is wheat allergy
Wrong. Both allergies are present among children but like what we have mentioned earlier, some of them outgrow these. What are left are the adults who are bothered by their intolerance with wheat and milk.

A person always has multiple food allergies
Not all the time. A person can have as much as 4 food sensitivities but not everyone have this. Oftentimes, it is a 1 to 1 ratio.

Allergies are psychosomatic
Psychosomatic diseases and disorders involve a host of sickness that is manufactured in the mind. Whether they were products of psychologically unhealthy thinking or not, when there are symptoms, something is certainly wrong about the body. Again, go see a professional, whether it’s a psychologist or immunologist. Either way, you will know what’s upsetting your health, and that’s a good thing.

Strawberries and tomatoes are the banes of food allergic people
Not really. There are of course a small number of people who cannot stand the effects of these reddish plumps on their bodies but not all allergic people are also allergic to strawberries and tomatoes. In fact, these two are not included in the 8 most common foods that people are allergic to. They are placed way behind the top 8.

If you are allergic to cow’s milk, try goat’s milk
Sure you can but you will have to do it at your own risk. The thing is, milk, regardless of the animal source, have the same basic protein components that make other people sick. If you do not trust us, try goat’s milk instead and see the effects. The good thing is, 40% of children who are allergic to cow’s milk can tolerate goat’s milk. So maybe you have a good reason to turn yourself into guinea pig.

Indoor house plants are the culprits of allergy rhinitis
It depends on the plant. If you have an entire house full of high-pollen plants, you should probably remove some of your daisies and whatnots. But the fact is, dull plants, and not the brightly colored ones, are more dangerous for pollen allergics.

Allergic response gets worse with repeated exposure
Not for everyone. They do tend to get worse at each exposure but there’s no telling whether allergic response consistently gets worse for every time you are exposed to allergens.

If you are allergic to iodine, skip the fish and seashells
You could probably try that but that would upset your so-called balanced nutrition. The good news is, you don’t really have good reasons to do this since people with iodine allergy are not necessarily reactive to fish and seashells.

There are medicines for almost everything but there are also people with allergic reactions who do not want to take them. So what can you do in order to avoid meds and allergy triggers altogether? Below are some must-do things so you can avoid being sick with allergy attacks.

Know what you are allergic to
There is a host of allergens that people can develop allergic reactions. It is therefore imperative that you first know which allergen is making you sick such that prevention and treatment can be delivered appropriately. Once you have checked which allergen is causing your body to produce symptoms and what type of allergy you carry, you have already solved half the problem and you can move on to the next stage: prevention.

Allergy-proof your home
You think you are safe within the confines of your own home, think again. There are many allergens that are sitting at your own place that you must eliminate. The presence of allergens on your couch, carpet, drapes and air ways are possibly the best explanations why you never stop sneezing, developing rashes and getting sickly. Allergy-proof your home by securing the following things:

Clean your home’s air passages
Allergens are minute particles that come and go through your house’s air ducts which often serve as doorways for the allergen to invade your home. Be sure to regularly clean your air conditioning and air heating systems from insect droppings, dusts, pollens, grass and dried leaves. Keeping your home’s air passages is the first best move you can do to reduce the quantity of allergens in your home, sanitizing them is another story.

Dust-proof your flooring
Floorings, regardless of the type, are conducive as repositories of allergens, or at least the primary receivers of dirt, animal dander and other components that are causing you allergic reactions. Carpets are the worst. If you love your carpets and would not exchange them for less allergen-friendly floorings, consider employing professional carpet cleaners. They are sure to deliver deep cleaning for your carpets.

Use only quality air filters
Whether it’s in your air conditioning/air heating system or in individual air-purifying devices, you must always get the right and the top quality air filters. Be sure to check in your local supplies stores for really good air filters. These sometimes make the difference between skipping another allergy attack or not.

Check your basements
If carpets are the repositories of allergens, basements are the breeding grounds. Since most of us do not give much attention to our basements, they tend to house our not-so-favorite friends- the allergens. So check your basement for mildews, molds, and other less inviting things. If they look somewhat out of this world-ish, they surely are not good for your allergy.

Invest on hypoallergenic beddings
While materials that serve both to deliver comfortable sleep and to protect you from allergens cost more than ordinary pillows, blankets and mattresses, they are, however, very good options when you want to avoid allergy attacks. Hypoallergenic beddings are worth the extra dollars you toss in since they save you the trouble of allergy attacks at night or while you are resting.

You may be safe at your home but how safe are you from allergens and allergy attacks? Please consider our suggestions above to allergy-proof your home.

Food allergies are the hypersensitivity reactions of the immune system to a naturally harmless substance present in the food. This denotes that prior to any allergic reaction; the individual has to be exposed to the allergen before. During the initial exposure, the allergen rouses the lymphocytes to generate the IgE antibody that works specifically with the type of allergen.

The produced IgE is discharged and then attached to the mast cells that exist in the various body tissues. For the next round that the allergic person takes in the same food, the allergens prompt the IgE antibody which are present on the surface of most of the mast cells and therefore trigger the release of the chemicals like the histamine. The symptoms that come around generally depend on the kind of tissue that releases the antibody.

Some Common Signs and Symptoms of Food Allergies

Food digestion is by and large a quite complicated process. Hence, it likewise produces a certain kind of effect on the location, the timing, and the symptoms that surface in relation to an allergic response to the ingested food. The signs and symptoms may occur between a few minutes to one hour after eating.

Typically, the food allergy is mostly felt as an itching in the mouth or as some kind of difficulty in breathing and swallowing. After which, some other symptoms like diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and nausea can arise during the process of food digestion in the intestines and stomach.

Anyhow, it is obvious that the allergens get absorbed and then they pass through the bloodstream. As soon as they reach the skin, they start inducing eczema or hives. Now when they come across the airways, they take the form of asthma. They travel around and then get into the blood vessels which may trigger weakness, lightheadedness, and also anaphylaxis or the abrupt drop in the blood pressure.

It may begin as a mild symptom like the tingling in the throat or mouth and the discomfort inside of the abdomen. However, it can be fatal whenever left untreated.

Food Allergy Problems with Infants and Children

Many of the known allergies to food actually start off between the first and second year of one’s life span. There are instances when they get resolved such as the allergies to eggs or cow’s milk. However, there are some which may be carried on until adulthood like the allergy to shellfish or nuts. Infants and very young children tend to exude allergies to soy formula or milk.

This may not include the attack of asthma or hives as symptoms but they take the form of other signs which are closely related to infantile colic, poor growth, or some blood in the stool.

Infantile colic begins right within the first month of the infant’s birth and this involves a baby who cries and then sleeps poorly during the night. It is seen that the allergy to soy or milk diet is one intervening factor. The allergies among infants and young children are diagnosed during the food challenge or the changing of their diet.

Infants and children can feel the worst during food allergies especially that their immune systems are not yet that stable. They may feel the itchiness and they may sneeze or wheeze. Their temperaments and behavior are quite a challenge too.

It is therefore important to have them checked out by the pediatricians so that they will be administered with the right kind of treatment and their diet be changed.

Allergies are oftentimes acute reactions to repeated exposure to allergens and they do not often pose very serious damages to the human body. However, there is one type of rare allergy that can be life-threatening, especially if not addressed immediately and appropriately.

Like all other types of allergies, anaphylaxis begins with an exposure to an allergen. Once the body distinguishes an allergen as potentially harmful, it releases an antibody called immunoglobulin E. The initial exposure is called sensitization and is asymptomatic, however, as the exposure progresses, the body tends to develop serious immune responses that can affect the entire body. In a way, the entire body becomes allergic to the allergen.

Incidence
Due to the lack of concrete definition of the syndrome, the exact number of incidence in America cannot be fully ascertained. Experts estimate though that anaphylaxis counts for at least 1% of the entire population. This means that the syndrome is very rare.

Anaphylaxis can affect all age groups. Female adults are more likely to develop anaphylaxis than male adults. However, among children, males are more susceptible than their female counterparts.

Symptoms
The symptoms of anaphylaxis vary from one case to another. However, onset normally begins with skin rash, a runny nose, or a general feeling of sickness. Due to the rapid development of the allergy, these symptoms can quickly become aggravated, leading to a host of complex symptoms. These more serious symptoms are inclusive of difficulty of breathing, abdominal pain, tightness of the chest and the throat, coughing, nasal congestion, slurred speech, wheezing, nausea and vomiting, dizziness, low blood pressure, diarrhea as well as rapid heart palpitations. The patient could also end up having cardiac arrest.

The full blown anaphylaxis often consists of urticaria or hives, angioedema (a condition characterized by swelling of the dermis), bronchospasm and hypotension. All these symptoms can ultimately lead to unconsciousness and then death.

Causes
The exact cause of anaphylaxis is not yet known but it is believed that there is a host of substances that are attributed as triggers. However, it is commonly associated with various components and events that trigger the allergic reaction. These include foods, medicines, latex, insect stings as well as exercise and x-ray dyes. Nonetheless, common allergens can also cause anaphylaxis.

Diagnosis
Diagnosis of anaphylaxis is only feasible if the symptoms are present. However, since symptoms of anaphylaxis are commonly associated with other comorbid diseases and syndromes, it is often difficult to distinguish whether a person will develop anaphylaxis or not. Patients of other allergies are more susceptible to the development of this allergy than those who do histories of allergy.

Treatment
Injection of epinephrine could best counter the anaphylactic symptoms. This is a type of an adrenaline which effectively reverses the symptoms and stabilizes the body. Once the symptoms are stabilized, the person will be administrated with intravenous medicines and fluids that will augment the current weakness of the circulatory system, especially the lungs. After which, histamines and steroids will be delivered to the bloodstream to further normalize the body.

Preparation
Persons who have allergies are advised to see doctors for preparation options. Usually, doctors prescribe a handy epinephrine injection kit which can be brought with you at all times.

It is also good to carry with you an identification card that states your allergies so that treatment can be facilitated immediately in case of an emergency.

Allergy is described as an exaggerated reaction of the immune system to foreign bodies and substances that are not harmful to normal non-allergic individuals. The response by the immune system is exaggerated since it treats these foreign bodies as threats to the health of the body, instead of discarding and eliminating them like it normally would. This reaction is possible if a certain response of the immune system is activated.

The mechanism of allergies begins with the so-called exaggerated reaction of the immune system to antigens. Antigens are special substances that trigger the immune system to release its antibodies. Once an antigen invades the body, the immune system will try to work out the nature of antigen by identifying whether it is dangerous or not. In people who have not developed allergies, all antigens are not harmful.

However, for people who had antigens which underwent previous sensitization, selected antigens are treated by the body as threats. Among allergic people, the invasion of an antigen will trigger a series of immune response known as allergic cascade. The result of which are allergic reactions and symptoms characterizing the specific allergy or the specific body part affected by the antigen.

The antigen to which a person is allergic to is called allergen which comes in forms of animal dander, foods, drugs, chemicals, pollens, dust mites and others.

Allergens can penetrate the body through various entry points. These entry points are basically distinguished by the nature of the allergen. For example, nasal passages are the passageways for pollens, dust mites, dust, molds and other minute objects.

Allergens can also affect the body, but do not necessarily have to enter the inner body, through the contact with the skin or mucous membranes. Topical chemicals and substances are often the culprits of allergic responses on the skin. This allergic reaction differs with other allergic responses since it only triggers cells of inflammation which are located on the superficial layers of the skin and not the specific antibody that reacts to allergens- the IgE.

However, for some substances, contact does not end with the skin, they sometimes seep through the underlying structures to cause more severe allergic responses. There are also allergens that are injected to the body. These typically consist of materials that are injected mechanically or chemicals that insects carry. Lastly are the allergens that are ingested which compose of a variety of food that typically trigger allergic responses among humans, medications and drugs. In over sensitive individuals, even water components may pose as allergens.

The allergic cascade happens in three phases. It begins with the invasion of a common substance of the body’s system. If the immune system detects it as harmless, it will not respond aggressively, leading to the antigen’s elimination. However, if the immune system detects it as a threat, it will produce IgE or immunoglobulin E, an antibody that reacts to allergens, in massive quantities. IgE will then plot the allergen as harmful and will develop immune responses to it in succeeding encounters.

After sensitization comes another encounter with the antigen. By this time, the body has already developed exaggerated responses. Due to the release of some chemicals into the blood stream as it tries to eliminate the antigen, the body will experience the symptoms of the allergy.

These symptoms are the natural consequences of the immune response.

True enough, there are various types of allergy that exist. Have you ever heard of what is called dog allergies? Yes, it exists and it is best for you to know the pertinent details about them before you get affected.

Unveiling the Culprit

Generally, the principal culprit is the dog allergen called the Can f 1. It is normally found in the dog’s saliva. The skin of these animals are not to be considered the main source of the Can f 1 dog allergen in contrast to the cat allergen which is found in the dander from their skin’s sebaceous glands. One more thing, the dog albumin or the protein that is in the dog’s blood is likewise branded as a vital allergen which may cause the cross reaction of the other animals’ albumin. Having some of these data at hand, it is then imperative that you take time to get to know more about this type of allergy as caused by the dogs.

Dog allergy is nevertheless common. There are stray dogs that roam the streets. You may also have unkempt dogs at home. It is safe to say that public places are being bugged by this type of allergy. Wherever you go, the facilities that you use may make you an easy prey for the dog allergy. This is then a close call to the pet owners to regularly bathe and clean their domestic animals to reduce the risk of being infected.

Taking Care of the Dog

Dogs are said to be man’s very best friend. There are studies which reveal that the right way of handling dog ownership can actually shield the animal from releasing the allergens that may harm the little children at home.

Endotoxin is a kind of protein that is being released from the dog’s body. It then somehow strengthens the immune system of the young children so they don’t get prone to the allergies. More likely, those little ones who live with pet dogs at home are safer than those who don’t have dogs at home. However, you should be concerned that too much exposure to endotoxins may worsen asthma and other allergies so it is best to be cautious.

Controlling the Symptoms

As the dog owner, it is necessary that you know how to keep your dog healthy for his sake and for your family’s own good. You better talk to a veterinarian as well as to a physician so that you will know the proper medications especially if you keep more indoor dogs. The allergy shots can also be given to those who are allergic to your pets.

Below are some of the essential precautions that you may follow to lessen the risks and exposure to dog allergen.

Make sure that your dog is neutered.

Bathe him at least once in a week.

Wipe him with a wet hand towel on a daily basis.

Don’t keep the dog inside the bedroom or anywhere that has a carpeted floor.

Frequently vacuum the carpet and use the HEPA-filtered cleaner.

Check out the dust mite avoidance tips. They will tell you of the steps on how you can lessen the exposure to the allergens.

Dog allergies can be prevented by following these precautions. Hence, it takes all of your sense of responsibility to prevent the risks.

Allergies developed by adults can be particularly hard to diagnose, but even more complex to children as some common symptoms may be also similar indications of other ailments. What makes it even harder is that children are often less capable of describing the symptoms, which leave the parents guessing. When such cases occur, it is always wise to immediately seek help of a trusted physician as they are the right authority to treat and provide medications. But to make it easier for you to see if your child is suffering from a certain allergy, here are five common symptoms related to allergies:

Sinus Infections

When your body overreacts to a certain allergen, it produces more body fluids, which in turn cause the sinus passages to be blocked. There are germs and bacteria that will be able to pass through these passages and as they leave, they also invade the tissues lining your sinus cavity. This causes infection, to which people who have allergies are more susceptible because their body’s immune system weakens from attempting to ward off foreign elements; and thus, causing the body to be less effective in fighting itself from germs. Sinus infections are usually serious conditions as they lead to nasal congestion, headaches, and fever.

Itching Nose

This is one of the most common allergy symptoms in children, and even in adults. The nose easily detects by becoming itchy if there are irritants or allergens in the environment. An itchy, stuffy nose can also clearly define that there are allergens and are more serious when the condition leads to cold. When your child is rubbing their nose which seems to resemble a salute action, this is already an indication of the allergy. In fact, this action has already been nicknamed as the “allergy salute.” Allergic reactions can be prevented by avoiding your child from being in an environment where there are any allergens. But in any case that they get it, the itchy nose can allow you to intervene whatever allergy your child is developing.

Chronic Cough

If the child is dry coughing and it does not seem to go away, this is chronic cough. Sometimes, there is phlegm, in which case can be an indication that there is an increased fluid present in their sinus cavity; thus, is an allergy symptom you should not ignore. Remember that chronic cough is not a condition but rather an allergy symptom; therefore, it is best to eliminate the source of cough for good rather than by just treating it. However, if the cough persists even after eliminating the source, the best course of action is to seek medical help as it can be a symptom of other conditions as well.

Allergic Eczema

If the skin comes in contact with irritants, it develops a skin condition called contact dermatitis. This is less serious. However, if it is persistent and certain physical conditions occur, this can be already associated to allergies. If there are rashes, dryness, redness, and itchiness in the folds of elbows, eyes, knees, and on the face, this is a condition requiring immediate attention, specifically medical treatments.

Dark-Eye Circles

This is usually called, Denni-Morgan lines. These are taken after two physicians’ names who have first established connection between the allergies and the relationship to dark eye circles. And this is also called the allergic shiners, because the discoloration or black, raccoon appearance under the eyes are the results of amplified blood flow occurring in the sinus area and not due to lack of sleep. The circles can also come with extra skin fold.
