If you are looking to make a television purchase, here are some tips on where to buy your next TV.  Where you buy your next TV is extremely important, especially if you are buying a high end large screen TV.   Most people don’t realize that with large ticket items such as large screen TV’s it pays to do some research on where you will buy your TV from.

Depending on where you buy your next TV will determine the price you pay, customer service, selection and warranty.  All these factors should be considered when buying your TV set.  While most retailers are similar on price points, you can usually find some exceptions such as DLP large screen TV’s at Walmart and other types of TV’s that are sold online.

If you have lots of questions, then you will probably want to talk to someone at a small retail electronics store where customer service matters and most representatives are very knowledgeable and friendly and not just out for commissions.  Selection might be a little smaller than in the big electronics stores at small electronic chains, but they usually buy the best of the brands which are loaded with great features and image quality.

Warranties can also differ depending on where you buy your next TV.  For instance, many warranties such as extended warranties are retailer specific, so you might get a better warranty at a large electronic store.  If you are buying online, make sure they have a solid and valid warranty.  Many TV manufacturers will not accept warranties from merchants that are not authorized to sell their product. So be extra careful when buying a TV online. Remember you can save a lot of money and a lot of headaches if you put some thought into where you buy your next TV.
